NISHANE PATCHULI KOZHA

Kozha means "leather" in Turkish, so if you're thinking that Pachuli Kozha blends sensual, leather-like notes with the earthiness of patchouli, then you're right. But Pachuli Kozha is much more than that. Pachuli Kozha unexpectedly opens with a naturalistic accord of grass and flowers, drenched and battered after a violent storm, thanks to the crackling notes of a striding hyacinth and a green, almost bitter artemisia beside it. Soon after, a powerful, sensual ylang-ylang makes its way through the grass, but the humid, almost tropical scent of ylang-ylang is kept in check by a bright, spicy patchouli, which together with these notes creates a clear, raw leather accord. The patchouli/ylang-ylang pairing is not particularly earthy or sweet, but fresh and herbaceous, sexy in a very natural way. At the base of the fragrance, a sweeter tone creeps in, as honey and resin thicken the patchouli and give it a warm, rounded feel.
